Questionnaires that will be used in clinical trials need testing before they can be used in field to make sure that translations are clear, carry the same meaning as original, and are culturally adequate.
Testing takes place with 5 to 10 subjects of the target population in the form of one-on-one interview in which subjects paraphrase a text and if a problem with text is found, they work with the interviewer to find a better fitting wording.
My colleagues and I also provide services of recruitment of subjects and post-cogdeb analysis services.
After their participation in a clinical trial has finished, subjects are contacted by an interviewer to talk about their experience during the trial.
A client provided structured script is used to collect symptoms and experience of subjects before, during, and after the trial and to capture any suggestions for improvement of future studies.
Audio-recorded interviews are conducted rather as a structured conversation one-on-one and client is provided with anonymized transcripts of the interviews.
